The Bobby Bones Show called Lunchbox because he's been out sick for most of the week with COVID.
Lunchbox claims he's doing better and thinks his voice sounded good, though the show pushed back, saying it sounded like he was forcing it. Bobby told Lunchbox that he would not be returning to the studio for the rest of the week, explaining that with Thursday already underway, it made more sense for him to rest through Friday and return after the weekend. Lunchbox questioned the decision and argued that he felt well enough to come in, even mentioning that he's needed for the Friday Morning Dance Party. Bobby and the others insisted he stay home and fully recover. Lunchbox said no one else in his family had tested positive, though he speculated his kids may have had mild symptoms earlier in the week.
Bobby then shared an update about Lunchbox’s recent claim that he had visited Sheryl Crow’s house for an estate sale. Bobby had spoken to Sheryl Crow, who clarified that the sale was actually at her parents’ house, not her own. Lunchbox was disappointed, saying he had wanted to be able to claim he owned something that belonged to Sheryl Crow. Bobby corrected him, saying the items instead came from her parents. Sheryl encouraged Lunchbox to buy the house, but Lunchbox dismissed the idea, saying he could not afford it.
In his sickness, Lunchbox has mostly been lying on the couch, taking naps, and feeling exhausted despite not doing much. He had been watching season three of Hacks after rewatching season two. Despite still dealing with symptoms like congestion and poor sleep, Lunchbox continued to insist he was ready to return to work. Bobby and the others disagreed, saying he sounded overly eager and not fully recovered. Bobby also told Lunchbox that the show had produced a special episode highlighting his experience on The Price Is Right, covering everything from his initial goal of wanting to appear on the show to his eventual return revealing he made it on. When asked if anyone had reached out to him with new opportunities following his appearance, Lunchbox has not heard anything and admitted he was surprised, he thought he would still be top of mind to get on other game shows. He was on a high from the whole thing, but now he's back down since he's sick and stuck at home.
