Holly Gilpin, Director of Tourism for Visit Dorchester joined me to talk about everything Dorchester County has to offer from its rich and vibrant history to the county's plethora of outdoor activities, the dedicated watermen and women who harvest our seafood year-round, and more! Holly also gave me the inside scoop on Dorchester County's largest city of Cambridge and everything you need to check out when you visit! Fun fact: Dorchester County has more shorelines than any other county in Maryland!
Originally from West Virginia. Holly has lived on the Eastern Shore of MD since 2006. Attended Concord University, Athens WV. Majored in Travel Industry Management. After graduation worked in the hotel industry for 27 years as an HR Director for Hyatt Hotels and Interstate Hotels, before joining Dorchester County as Tourism Director in February 2022.
Holly is married and has one son that is in his first year of college.
