Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is voluntarily entering rehab.
The group released a statement Tuesday, saying, "As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery."
Aerosmith also cancelled their upcoming residency at the Park MGM in Vegas so Tyler can focus on his recovery. However, the group remained hopeful that they would still be able to take the stage during their second leg of shows in September.
The band closed out their statement with gratitude, "Thank you for your understanding and for your support for Steven during this time."
