Jimmie Allen's 5-Week-Old Daughter Rushed To The Hospital

It's been a scary week for Jimmie Allen and his young daughter Zara.

It all started last Sunday when Jimmie's wife, Alexis, shared that both of their children, one-month-old Zara and 20-month-old Naomi, have both been sick. She later shared that she was "turned away by hospital," noting, "Basically if your child isn't blue at the lips they will not have answers for you."

Needless to say she was very frustrated.

Things took a scarier turn on Tuesday when little Zara stopped breathing. Allen took to Twitter expressing his annoyance with the hospital, writing, "Attention doctors, if the parent of your one-month-old patient tells you the child having a hard time breathing and the only thing your lazy self wants to do is check heart and temperature, find another career. Your job is to save lives so do it."

He then continued in a second Tweet, "Now thanks to the lazy doctors at a hospital in TN that just sent our daughter home, our daughter Zara lost color stopped breathing and is being rushed to another hospital. Thanks to the amazing EMT team that brought back Zara's color she can breath again. Gonna be a rough night."

The good news is that Zara is OK!Allen shared a photo of her on Friday, tweeting, “Zara is doing a lot better. She’s off oxygen and breathing on her own. Hopefully, she stays like this and can go home soon. Thanks for the well wishes, positive energy and prayer.”

His wife also shared an update on Friday, sharing in more detail what happened. She started by writing, "You never really think about the bad days you may go through with a child until you’re right in those moments," and then described that while traveling on the tour bus, the baby woke up with a coughing fit. She tried to shower steam, suctioning and chest rubs, but "nothing seemed to work. At 10:30 Zara was unresponsive in my arms and turning color as we frantically ask our drivers to pull over and call 911. The longest 15 minutes of my life... My baby was so so tired her muscles had given up on her. I did everything under the sun to keep her awake and thank god it seemed to work. She was soon in the ambulance with oxygen and finally started to regain her color."
