Becca Meyers, a Baltimore County native & paralympic swimmer, is one of four athletes featured in Speedo's national âMake Wavesâ campaign.
Meyers, who started swimming in Baltimore at the age of six, has been deaf since birth and describes her seeing-eye dog Birdie as her partner in crime. âBirdie has given me confidence in myself to navigate the world as a deaf-blind swimmer,â Meyers said in the video. Meyers has previously competed in the London and Rio de Janeiro Olympics, taking home three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal. She will be competing this year in the Tokyo Olympics which kick off July 23.
Good luck Becca!
