The ACM Awards Are Looking For A New Home

Next year's ACM Awards are going to be on a new network, if they happen at all. CBS has been the home of the awards since 1998 but the network declined to pick up the annual event after record low ratings this year.

Approximately 6.3 million viewers tuned in for the show in April. That's down from 6.6 in 2020, which was then a record low.

Dick Clark Productions, the team behind the ACM Awards, went to CBS asking for $22 million for the 2022 show. That's $2 million more than the previous yearly deal. Insiders say the network wasn't interested.

Reports say that DCP is shopping the idea of packaging the ACM's and Golden Globes together. We'll see what happens.
