Brothers Osborne took part in iHeartRadio’s Can’t Cancel Pride, performing their new song “Younger Me” on the steps of the Tennessee State Capitol building in Nashville. Well, now the pair has released the performance as the song’s music video.
“’Younger Me” was conceived as a message to my younger self and struggling with being different, not knowing where I was going,” TJ Osborne, who came out as gay in February, said when the duo originally released the tune. “I’ve always wished I could speak to my younger self, give him a hug and show him who he’d become and what he’d achieve.”
He added, “Once I came out, that feeling was overwhelmingly strong that this song was born.”
