Morgan Wallen Breaks Silence, Reveals What's Next

It’s been several months since Morgan Wallen shared a video offering another apology for his controversial video, where he was heard saying a racial slur, and now he’s reaching out to fans again.

In a handwritten note posted to Instagram, Morgan started by thanking fans for their support offering he's “felt a lot of love lately,” adding, "I know my corner hasn't been the most popular one to stand in recently, but many of you did anyway.” He also expressed his amazement at the chart success of his album “Dangerous: The Double Album,” which spent 10 consecutive weeks at number one, noting he’d be “proud” of the album even if it wasn’t as successful, thanking his fans for making it such a hit.

In the letter Morgan admits he “made some mistakes” and writes, "I'm figuring those out and I apologized because I was truly sorry and have been making my amends.”

“I wanted to let you guys know that I've taken a couple months away and feel like I've really worked on myself," he shares. "I'm proud of the work I've put in and in many ways thankful to have had the time to do it. I've needed this time off." Morgan then admits he needs some more time off, and because of that he says he won’t be doing any touring this summer, noting he won’t be on any festivals, and won’t be on Luke Bryan’s tour as planned.  Morgan ends the note by saying he’s currently back in Nashville “looking forward” to his return. “My story is far from over and getting back out to see y’all is all I can think about," he says. "So just know you’ll be seeing me sooner than later.”
