The Recher Theatre Reopening With Live Music After 8 Years

It's been eight long years since the Recher Theatre welcomed patrons, but the beloved Towson music venue turned nightclub is officially reopening and welcoming fans back for socially distanced shows.

Before shutting its doors back in 2013, the Recher Theatre hosted musical guests big and small like The White Stripes, Linkin Park and Iggy Pop. After not being able to compete with larger venues, the Recher Theatre was eventually turned into a nightclub. But the theatre is back in action with several shows already scheduled and sold out, kicking off with the Kelly Bell Band this Friday.

Concerts are allowed in the state of Maryland at 50% capacity, but co-owner Brian Recher says they are taking a much minstagramore cautious approach and only selling about 85 tickets in the beginning. The venue has been upgraded with new lights, an updated stage, flooring and sound system but ultimately Recher says it's all about the music, “Everybody loves music,” Recher said. “It’s just something about it, it’s good for everybody.”

The Recher Theatre officially opens it's doors Friday, March 19th at 7pm and for more information, please click here!
