Chase Rice Made A Covid Joke To Promote New Single & People Aren't Happy

Chase Rice is still seemingly struggling with this pandemic.

Rice drew a ton of backlash over the summer for holding a concert and ignoring social distancing and coronavirus safety guidelines, and now he's drawing more backlash for his latest "joke" towards the pandemic. He teamed up with his old friends Florida Georgia Line and they just dropped the new collaboration “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.”

"Just lost my taste and smell. Weird," he tweeted. "Also, dropping a single at midnight." He later added, "On a real note. Don’t have covid,” and then shared details of the song. Folks on social media were quick to blast Chase for making a joke of such a serious subject, especially since people have lost their lives to COVID-19. “Really in bad taste to joke about Covid," one user wrote. "Thought you had learned something since the concert incident this year. Guess not. … Do better, Covid is not a joke." Another added, "Yeah you've been flagrantly disregarding public health regulations during a pandemic... Super weird…”
