We all know that nothing has felt very normal since mid March and with Halloween coming up later this month, I'm sure kids are wondering how different that will be. That's what inspired our 2020 Kids Halloween Costume Contest on the Laurie DeYoung Show. We want to see your kids, in their costumes. If we select one of your photos as a winner (there are four categories) you'll get a gift certificate to the Mt Washington Tavern and we've got some sweet treats for your kids too! To inspire you to send in those photos I thought I'd share some throwback Halloween photos of my three kids.
When they were little, their aunt Kate would make their costumes which was amazing. They would get so excited when their costumes came in the mail. Our son Taylor was born on Oct 30th at St Agnes Hospital, so when my husband brought his big brother Graham to the hospital to meet his new brother, the next day, he came dressed as Dracula, naturally. You'll see Paris as a bunny for her first Halloween and Taylor as a superhero when he was just a year old, the first time he went door to door hoping for some candy. Graham was a clown the first year he trick or treated here in Baltimore, he wasn't three years old yet, our then neighbor's son, Gabe, is sitting next to him. Please send us your photos. You can get all the details for our contest at WPOC.com/Costume. Help us to make this year's Halloween celebration a little more fun for your kids.
