You don’t ever hear about anyone being grateful for a car wreck, but some pedestrians in Phoenix definitely are. Footage from a Department of Transportation camera shows a couple pushing a stroller in a crosswalk in the Arizona town, just as an SUV runs a red light through the intersection.
The SUV was heading straight for the couple and the baby when another car slammed into the SUV just a split second before it ran into the pedestrians. Police say the driver of the car suffered non-life threatening injuries and the driver of the SUV was arrested on DUI and aggravated assault charges. But this car wreck actually saved lives.
