All The Details on Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" Documentary! (WATCH)

Dolly's getting a documentary!

First of all, Dolly is an extremely busy lady-- she's got Heartstrings, the eight-part series of stories based on her songs, hitting Netflix on November 22nd. The songs which will be featured include "Jolene," Two Doors Down," "Cracker Jack" and more. But that's not the only thing Dolly has in the works. The TV special celebrating the 50th anniversary of her becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry airs on November 26th on NBC, and she's got a Christmas special coming next year.

Speaking of next year, keep your eyes out for “Still Working 9 to 5,” a documentary about the movie "9 to 5" that will look back at the legacy of the 1980s comedy and will feature new interviews from the three stars of the film, Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin & Jane Fonda, as well as stars of the stage musical and 80s TV series it inspired. The film will also look at the sexual politics and workplace issues highlighted in the film that are still prevalent today. As Dolly notes, “It’s 40 years now and it’s still important.” And while everyone knows Dolly’s classic theme song, the documentary will feature new music and original score written by GRAMMY winning songwriter Shane McAnally.

The goal is to have the documentary ready to go & released next year to coincide with the film's 40th anniversary.
