Miranda Lambert Previews “Wildcard” At Nashville Club Show (WATCH)

Miranda Lambert’s new album “Wildcard” doesn’t come out until November 1st, but she previewed the record at a small club show in Nashville earlier this week. The singer performed tracks from the album for a crowd of industry folks at the Exit/In.

The night’s set featured songs like “All Comes Out In the Wash,” “Mess with My Head,” “Locomotive,” and “Bluebird,” as well as “Pretty Bitchin,” “Tequila Does,” “Track Record,” and “Way Too Pretty For Prison,” her collaboration with Maren Morris.

“I called Maren and said, ‘I got a song about killin’ someone. You in?,’” Miranda told the audience. “She was like, ‘Duh.’”

Miranda also performed the album’s closing track, “Dark Bars,” and talked about her recent marriage, noting, “I was sittin’ in New York, which I’ve been spending a lot of time there since I married a Staten Island native, he was an NYPD officer who has made me happy, thank the good Lord.” She said she invited co-writer Liz Rose to join her, noting, “Liz got there early and I said, ‘Let’s just go hang out in some dark bars and see if we can find some stories to write about.’ And she said, ‘I think that is the story.’”

The night ended with a cover of Linda Ronstadt’s “Willin,” with Miranda telling the crowed, “I feel like even though I’ve been doing this since I was 17—I’ll be 36 in November—and I feel like I’m just getting started.”
