ICYMI: 97-Year-Old U.S. Paratrooper Veteran Jumps In D-Day Rerun

Yesterday marked the 75th anniversary of Operation Neptune, or better known as D-Day. It was the largest seaborne invasion in history which effectively laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front during WWII.

97 year old US paratrooper veteran Tom Rice was with the 101st Airborne Division way back when on June 6th,1944 as they parachuted into Nazi-occupied France on the beaches of Normandy, at night and under fire. Back then, Rice didn't know what the outcome would be, but this time around, he and his fellow veterans jumped together knowing it was to commemorate a special part of history.

Tom Rice, who is now a 97 year old U.S. paratrooper veteran, was with the 101st Airborne Division on June 6th, 1944 and on the anniversary of D-Day, he re-created his jump onto the beaches in Normandy, France. Back in 1944, he jumped alone, in the dark, while he was being shot at. This time around, he jumped in tandum with other veterans to comemorat
