Crowd Solemnly Sings Ave Maria Amid Notre Dame Cathedral Fire

It was a sad and difficult day as the world watched helplessly as the historic Notre Dame Cathedral burned and burned, sending flames and smoke into the Paris skyline. While the building was devastated, over 400 firefighters worked tirelessly and were able to save the bulk of the building include the iconic facade and the two bell towers. French President Emmanual Macron promised the iconic monument would be rebuilt, and French billionaire François-Henri Pinault and his family, including his wife, actress Salma Hayek, have pledged 100 million euros (roughly $113 million) to help rebuild the monument as well.

Amid the devastation, crowds gathered to watch in awe, but several people all gathered together and sang "Ave Maria," a beautiful sentiment in the wake of the sadness.
