I don’t know about you but I’m always looking to add meaning to things. In Priya Parkers book about gatherings she talks about different ways to make work meetings, weddings, even dinner parties in your home more meaningful. One thing we’ve done at our house for years is a basket of questions. So, after dinner, during dessert we pass around a basket of questions for everyone to answer. They just pick one from the basket. It’s a way to get each person to participate in the conversation instead of letting only the extroverts in the group take over. Everyone answers a question (and we try to make them really meaningful) so we can get to know each person a little better before they leave. People love it. It’s just one of many things Priya and I talked about in our conversation the other day, you can listen here!
