This Couple Rode Out the Napa Wildfire, Taking Shelter in a Pool

This story sounds like something straight off a movie set.

John, 70, and Jan Pascoe, 65,  had absolutely no warning about the wildfire that quickly engulfed their neighborhood. As the fire took over, they suddenly remembered their neighbor had a pool.

The couple escaped the wildfires raging around them by jumping in the pool and staying in the water for 6 hours. It was pitch black as they watched everything burn to the ground around them. The pool is currently filled with debris and soot, but it saved their lives.
