The Joy of Watching Married Couples Perform Together

52nd Academy Of Country Music Awards - Arrivals

There is something we love about seeing married couples who perform together in the entertainment business right? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were interesting to watch in the movie Mr and Mrs Smith  when they were just falling in love and By the Sea (after they got married and rumors were swirling that things weren’t going well). Years ago, people enjoyed seeing Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor on the big screen together too. So it goes with married couples who sing together. I wasn’t listening to country music back when George Jones and Tammy Wynette were married but I know they had lots of hit songs together and I still appreciate hearing Johnny and June Cash sing Jackson when it pops up in random places from time to time, like on a jukebox.

Garth and Trisha have been touring together this year and I loved seeing Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's perform You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma before they went their separate ways. Currently, I think Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are still the reigning king and queen of country and we’re pretty happy that they’re touring together this year. That tour comes to the Capital One Arena on October 13th and we’ve got your tickets all this week on WPOC! Listen weekday mornings at 7:05 and afternoons at 12:05 and 5:05 to win your tickets!
