Parents Sue the Boy Scouts Over Son's Death on Hike

15-year-old Reid Comita needed to earn one more merit badge to become an Eagle Scout. He signed up for an introductory backpacking class with the Boy Scouts. It was supposed to have adult supervision, and be a course for beginners.

But his parents say he was sent out on an advanced hike in temperatures close to 100 degrees. And the leaders? They were just fellow teens.

Reid died on the hike, and his parents are suing the Scouts. They say the Scouts violated their own policies and the tragedy was preventable.
