These Harmful Sunscreens for Kids Are Probably in Your Beach Bag Right Now

Every year the EWG (Environmental Working Group) publishes their list of the worst kids' sunscreens. These are sunscreens that contain harmful chemicals like oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, and have SPFs above 50+ that only protect against UVB rays, not UVA rays.

Here's the worst of the worst from their list for 2017:

  • Coppertone Sunscreen Water Babies Foaming Lotion, SPF 70
  • CVS Health Children’s Sunstick Sunscreen, SPF 55
  • Equate Baby Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 70
  • Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen, SPF 60+
  • Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids Sunscreen Spray, SPF 70+
  • Up & Up Kids Sunscreen Sticks, SPF 55
