Let's stay in Howard County for stop number 10 of my tour around some of my favorite Maryland breweries. Hysteria Brewing has arguably my favorite tap room. I'm not sure what it is. I've just always enjoyed grabbing a seat at the bar and trying out some of their brews.
The first time I stopped by Hysteria in Columbia, my wife, sister and I were doing a little drive through the area. We had already stopped at a couple other breweries when I thought, "Hey! Isn't Hysteria around here?" I'm so glad we stopped in. They always have plenty of different styles and flavors for you to check out.
Over the years I've tried quite a few of their offerings at different events and beer festivals. I really enjoy the After Dark when I'm looking for something a little darker. But my personal favorite is the 1996 west coast IPA. The artwork caught my eye because it's a bit of a tribute to my favorite cartoon when I was a kid, Rocko's Modern Life. And, after tasting it, I fell in love. Hysteria is a must visit in Columbia.
