St. Pierre's FeBREWary Stop #6: Brewer's Art

Local craft breweries have taken over the world over the last 5ish years. But, before the big tap rooms and brewery tours took control, there were small restaurants and bars that made their own beer to go along with other offerings. One of the first that I experienced in Baltimore was Brewer's Art.

I moved to Maryland in the Spring of 2007. That Summer, an old college friend of mine who lived in Baltimore invited me up for an Orioles game. Before we went to Camden Yards he wanted to take me to Brewer's Art. We had some drinks down in the underground part of the Mt. Vernon spot and I fell in love. I enjoyed the dark and dank atmosphere. And I tried Resurrection for the first time. When I finally moved to Baltimore in 2008, I had to find the spot again. I almost exclusively drank Resurrection for my first year in town.

I spent many nights (and more that I can't remember) hanging out at Brewer's Art for happy hours and other events. Over the last decade plus, Brewer's Art has expanded its offerings to a full range of beers and all are fantastic.

I'm sure some people reading this will say that Brewer's Art doesn't count as a brewery. To them I'd say it's my blog and I'll call it what I want. I'm a big fan of the beers they make and I hope others will give it a shot. Of course when picking up a six-pack I had to grab my old favorite.
