Morgan Wallen is easily one of the hottest artists in country music. His latest album has been dominating all of the charts and it broke every streaming record possible. But that isn't stopping him from being an idiot.
For the third time in less than a year Wallen is making an apology tour after alcohol seemingly led to another embarrassing incident.
TMZ posted a video shot by Wallen's neighbor of the star and his friends being loud and rowdy early Monday morning. We won't repeat what was said, but Wallen is caught on camera using a racial slur.
Morgan Wallen issued an apology Tuesday night (quote) “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
As I said, this is not the first time he's found himself in hot water after an alcohol fueled incident. Last May he was arrested in Nashville for public intoxication. And a few months back he lost his spot on SNL after being seen maskless and making out with girls at an Alabama bar during a global pandemic.
Addiction is no joke. If that's what's going on with Morgan, I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs. I've known this guy since the day he signed his record contract, years before the mullet and cut off flannel shirt. I know he's better than this. But, maybe I'm wrong and he's just turned a dangerous corner. Whatever the situation is, I hope there's someone in his corner fighting for him.
