As students and faculty started to prepare their return to the campus of Towson University, the school found itself in a tough situation. Last week there were 55 confirmed cases in a random sample of over 600 tests. That prompted the university to go virtual for the first week of the fall semester to see if things would improve.
It would seem that those 55 positive cases were enough for school administrators to want to pull the plug for the whole semester.
Towson U announced that all classes will be taught virtually through the end of the fall semester. Move-ins are suspended and indoor dining will not be allowed at dining halls. Also, on-campus faculty and staff will be limited to essential workers only and face-to-face events are suspended.
