Aussie Doctor Who Stayed With Trapped Boys For 3 Days Gets Terrible News

posted by @stpierreonair -

One of the heroes of the rescue operation for the soccer team trapped in a cave was Doctor Richard Harris.  He had been on vacation in Thailand when he heard about the situation and volunteered to help.

Harris was sent in to check on the boys and assess their health.  He ended up staying with them for three days, and reportedly was the last one out of the cave.

Dr. Harris is a true hero and deserves to be celebrated for his actions.

Sadly, upon leaving the cave, Harris found out that his father had passed away.  The cause of death has not been released but it is believed to have happened shortly after the rescue operation was completed.
