People in Newton County, Georgia witnessed a true moment of sportsmanship.
Jovaal Hollingshed, a Henry County senior, was the first up to bat against Eastside pitcher Michael Hipps Jr.
But it wasn't a normal game for Michael. A week before the game, Michael's dad passed away. The game marked his first home game back on the pitching mound.
When the game kicked off and Michael was about to throw the first pitch, Jovaal dropped his bat. He stepped out of the batter's box and made his way toward Michael on the pitcher's mound. To everyone's surprise, Jovaal hugged Michael and shook his hand, offering his condolences.
Thankfully, this beautiful moment was caught on camera so we could all enjoy the amazing act.
