Minasie Theophilis has been working as a janitor for a college in Minneapolis for the last 25 years. Everyone who knows him loves him, especially the students and athletes at the school.
Minasie originally comes from Ethiopia and came to the school as a student himself. But, he is a man of humble means and has not had the opportunity to return to visit his family. In fact, he hasn't seen them in over 30 years. He even missed the passing of his mother.
The school's hockey team got word of this fact and knew they had to do something.
