Have you ever stayed at a hotel room and no matter how many times you adjusted the thermostat in your room you just can't get it to the temperature you want? Well, turns out, there may be a very good reason for that.
According to a new report, many hotels don't actually allow you to personally control the temp in the room. Seems that thermostat in your room is simply decoration and you're basically wasting your time pushing those buttons and trying to figure out nothing's happening.
Seems a lot of large hotel chains regulate room temperature with a central system, which helps them not only control the energy output, but also helps decrease the need for maintenance work, thereby reducing overall costs.
