16-year-old Maddie Morley always dreamed of going to prom. But she has autism and historically, children with special needs aren't often included in such events like other children.
However, all that changed.
During a school assembly, Maddie was caught off guard when an announcement rang over the speakers calling her to the stage. Out from behind the curtain appeared Kooper Richardson, a popular senior football star at the school. The young man asked Maddie to the dance in front of the entire school. He even gave up his senior class trip to Disneyland so he could enjoy their special night.
But, that was just the start of what would be an unforgettable evening for Maddie.
