About Liza Byrd Boutique

The Maryland based business was started by founder and designer Liza Jarrett and has evolved from painted furniture and whimsical gifts items to stylish, fresh and affordable apparel and accessories for all ages inspired by brightly colored prints and unique trims.

“Working with the Liza Byrd brand has been very easy because I have had the freedom to just be myself. The clothing that I create will be worn by people who celebrate everyday day life and feel happy and relaxed wearing each piece. There is great joy in creating items that incorporate style and happiness and the feedback I receive is inspirational and contributes to the ideas behind my designs.”

The excitement of offering a unique collection of apparel and accessories with a twist for ladies, teens and girls at affordable prices makes each piece unique and fun. Our pieces can be worn from the beach to the cocktail party and offer fresh fashion with a twist.

The line also includes adorable coordinating outfits for girls and their dolls inspired by Liza’s daughter, Bayly who as a child always wanted to “match” her doll.

About Liza Jarrett

Liza Jarrett is a native of Owings Mills, Md. and graduate of Roland Park Country School. She earned her BSM at Tulane University in 1987 and also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Upon graduating college she was hired into the executive training program for Macy’s NY where she was a department manager and part of the store opening team in Tyson’s Corner, Va.

Her love of fashion and retail continued to grow as a buyer for Merry Go Round stores based out of Joppa, Md. where she worked hand in hand with the design staff creating affordable fashion for the junior market. After deciding to stay home to raise her children, Jarrett began painting and creating unique gifts. The business evolved after she hired local seamstresses in 1996 to help with designing jean jackets and she now has both local and overseas clothing production. She owes her success in part to the wonderful support of her family, her Liza Byrd “elves”, and her long time relationship with her seamstress Thanh.
