Florida mom sues McDonald's and says her daughter was burned by Mcnuggets

A Florida mother is taking her case to court with McDonald's after her daugher sustained burn injuries from a Happy meal. The incident occurred at a Broward County McDonald’s in 2019 when the girl dropped a McNugget on her leg, according to the suit filed by Philana Holmes. “The Chicken McNuggets inside of that Happy Meal were unreasonably and dangerously hot and caused her skin and flesh around her thighs to burn,” the lawsuit states. Holmes is seeking at least $15,000 in damages. Lawyers for McDonald’s argue the girl was burned only because her mother allowed the dropped McNugget to sit on her leg for at least two minutes before removing it. “This matter was looked into thoroughly,” reads a statement issued by the fast food restaurant. “Ensuring a high standard for food safety and quality means following strict policies and procedures for each product we cook and serve. Those policies and procedures were followed in this case and we therefore respectfully disagree with the plaintiff’s claims.”

Does this woman have a solid case against McDonald’s? Why or why not? Comment below- Michael J
