How many people do you know who after winning an Olympic medal would be willing to give that medal up to help someone else out? Maria Andrejczyk, a 25 year old javelin thrower from Poland heard about a baby boy who needed surgery. She wrote about it on Facebook and found a Polish grocery chain who paid $125,000 for the medal. With the money, the infant will be able to travel to Stanford and undergo the life-saving surgery. After paying the money, the grocery then turned around and gave Maria Andrejczyk her medal back!!! No words.
