Nothing like a tight deadline.
The Baltimore Ravens have until 4pm today, Tuesday, March 7th, to make a decision on what to do with superstar Quarterback Lamar Jackson.
According to Ravens executive vice president Ozzie Newsome, Jackson and the Ravens are planning to continue talks about a long-term deal right up to that deadline, however, it's been two years of talks and negotiations and at this point, the franchise tag seems a bit more like a temporary solution to an ongoing stalemate.
Despite Ravens Head coach John Harbaugh and GM Eric DeCosta expressing their desire to keep Jackson in Baltimore, the dispute seems to stem from the guaranteed money. Should the Ravens tag Lamar, that would give him a guaranteed $32.4 million on a one year deal.
It's gonna be a nail biter for sure!
