WATCH: Chris Rock Finally Addresses The Infamous "Will Smith Oscars Slap"

Chris Rock is finally addressing the infamous Will Smith Oscar's slap.

Making history from Baltimore with Netflix's first-ever live stand up special Chris Rock “Selective Outrage,” Rock said that anyone who says words hurt "has never been punched in the face." Rock went after Will & Jada’s marriage, saying Will practices “selective outrage” and essentially said Will took out his anger about his wife’s affair on him.

Rock says he tried to call Will after Jada addressed her affair on her show “Red Table Talk” back in 2020, but Will never answered his calls—Rock went on to say everyone in Hollywood was calling him names, and Will, for whatever reason decided to hit Rock.

As for why Rock says he didn’t’ react in the moment at last years Oscars, "because I was raised." He added, "You know what my parents taught me? Don't fight in front of White people." Rock then dropped the mic and got a standing ovation before walking offstage.

This is the first time Rock has publicly addressed the slap.
