Maryland Restaurants Selected For Barstool Fund Help

A few Maryland businesses have hit the jackpot and are receiving help from the Barstool Fund. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy created the fund to help struggling small businesses after the lack of action from Congress. Well known for his rants, he went off about the lack of support for small businesses from the government, and when he was challenged to put his money where his mouth was, he delivered. He donated $500,000 of his own money and the Barstool Fund was born, and skyrocketed from there. At last look the fund had raised more than $20 million dollars and was helping close to 100 small businesses all over the country, including a few here in Maryland.

Claddagh Pub and Don’t Know Tavern in Baltimore are the latest recipients joining Dough Boy Fresh Pretzel Company who was selected for the program back in December. Barstool announced the news on Twitter yesterday. If you'd like to donate, please click here!
