  • Fast forward to yesterday...and Ellen is defending her friendship with Bush, telling viewers that she has all kinds of friends – even those who “don’t share the same beliefs.” “We are all different, and I’ve think we’ve forgotten that that’s okay,” she said. “When I say ‘be kind to one another,’ I mean be kind to everyone.”
  • The former president caught wind of her comments, of course, and since has spoken out to thank her. A rep for Bush tells Fox News that he enjoyed Ellen and her wife Portia De Rossi’s company and “really appreciated” what she said on the show “about respecting one another.”

Class-Action Lawsuit Claims “Fortnite” is As Addictive As Cocaine

  • The maker of Fortnite may face a class-action lawsuit in Canada after two parents of teenage sons alleged last week the company purposely designed the multiplayer video game to be as addictive as cocaine, according to reports
  • Parents of the 10- and 15-year-old boys claim developed a severe dependence on the game & seeks to hold the U.S.-based video game publisher accountable for using psychologists and statisticians “to develop the most addictive game possible.”
  • The lawsuit also noted that the World Health Organization last year declared video game addition, or “gaming disorder,” a disease
  • The game is free to use but requires players purchase virtual currency to buy accessories and other add-ons for their virtual players. “Children are particularly vulnerable to this manipulation since their self-control system in the brain is not developed enough.”
