  • Julia Garner beat basically the entire cast of GOT when she won Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Ozark—the other acting awards went to:
    • Bill Hader, Lead Actor in a Comedy Series—Barry
    • Jodie Comer, Lead Actress in a Drama Series-- Killing Eve
    • Tony Shalhoub, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
    • Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lead Actress in a Comedy Series-- Fleabag 
  • Billy Porter made history as the first openly gay black man to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, for Pose
  • There was a jab at Felicity Huffman by the narrator, giving a shout out to any past Emmy winning actresses who may be watching from prison, 2 weeks will fly by he noted

Thomas Rhett’s Wife Writes Memoir

  • Thomas Rhett's wife Lauren has written a memoir. Live in Love chronicles her life from the time she was a little girl until now.
  • She says, “If I’m being honest, I am really excited about this project and also pretty scared to be this vulnerable with the world. I am confident in my stories, my friends, my family and my faith, which all make up my very real and very imperfect story of Live in Love. I hope that through sharing my story, people from all walks of life can find themselves within the pages feeling related to, hopeful, not alone, inspired and most of all -- of course -- loved.”
  • The book comes out on May 5th

 

Kevin Hart Looking At Lawsuit

  • TMZ says the other people who were in the classic car are getting ready to sue the comedian over the accident, which injured Kevin as well as well as the driver and one other passenger.
  • They're expected to sue, claiming he's negligent because his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda didn't have safety harnesses or airbags
  • But the driver and the custom car company could also be looking at suits
  • Meanwhile, Kevin has returned home after three weeks in the hospital and rehab

Box Office Recap

  • The big screen edition of “Downton Abbey” managed to beat Brad Pitt AND Sylvester Stallone’s new movies for the top spot in the box office over the weekend. “Downton Abbey” raked in $31-million for its debut, easily earning the top spot against Pitt’s “Ad Astra” and Stallone’s “Rambo: Last Blood.”
  • Ad Astra nabbed the 2nd spot bringing in $19.2 million, just edging out Rambo: Last Blood who came in 3rd with $19 million

The Entire American Idol Panel Is Back

  • The entire American Idol panel is back for the upcoming season, including Ryan Seacrest as the host
  • Katy Perry, Lionel Richie & Luke Bryan will return for the 18th overall season, Bobby Bones is back as the in house mentor but will not take Ryan Seacrest’s spot as host
  • Last season Ryan took his first ever sick day, which prompted rumors that he would be phased out and replaced by Bones who filled in as the host
