Wendy's announced they will be taking their breakfast menu nationwide to all 6,711 restaurants next year, and adding 20,000 employees to their workforce to do it. Wendy's currently serves breakfast in roughly 4% of their restaurants, but this nationwide expansion will bring breakfast to 100% of restaurants by next year. Some menu items you can look forward to include the Breakfast Baconator, Frosty-ccino and Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
“Launching breakfast in our U.S. restaurants nationwide provides incredible growth opportunities,” said Todd Penegor, Wendy's president and CEO, in a news release. “We are well-positioned to pursue it. We believe we have the right team and structure in place, and we put Wendy’s fan favorites on our breakfast menu to set us apart from the competition.” (USA Today)
