Looks like the iconic PSL has some competition.
Almost everything has tried to capitalize on the popularity that is pumpkin spice, from cereal, to spam and everything in between, pumpkin spice is a way of life when it comes to fall traditions. The massive popularity of Starbucks' iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte is behind the annual fall influx of pumpkin spice products, but this fall it looks like Starbucks is adding another one to the ever growing list.
Brace yourselves, Starbucks is introducing a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew drink for the first time! According to CNN, "the new 'deliciously fall' drink combines pumpkin spice flavoring and cold brew coffee, the company said. It's topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice topping!"
Will this new pumpkin spice drink garner the same cult following as the PSL? Only time will tell. But this new pumpkin cream cold brew has once thing the PSL doesn't, less calories & sugar! A 16 oz Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew has 250 calories and 31 grams of sugar, while a same-size hot Pumpkin Spice Latte has 380 calories and 50 grams of sugar.
Both drinks hit menus starting tomorrow! (August 27)
