Netflix News

  • Looks like Netflix films will remain in the running for Oscars, despite Steven Spielberg
  • Spielberg and other critics argued that movies from streaming services should not be included based on “token qualifications in a couple of theaters for less than a week.”
  • But the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has voted to maintain Rule Two, which says a film must have a minimum seven-day theatrical run in an L.A. theater
  • Zac Efron's Ted Bundy bio-pic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the Amy Poehler-directed comedy Wine Country and Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms highlight the additions to Netflix in May

James Holzhauer Breaks More Jeopardy Records

  • "Jeopardy!" contestant James Holzhauer topped $1 million on Tuesday in just 14 games, becoming only the 2nd person to do so

  • Jennings won $2.5 million over 74 games back in 2004, so Holzhauer still has a ways to go but is definitely on the right track!

The two thought nothing of paying someone to help them because in their world, that was par for the course

If convicted for mail fraud and money laundering conspiracy, the couple faces up to 40 years
