This year, Maryland Food Truck Week is benefiting Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. The mission of Meals on Wheels is to enable people to live independently at home through the provision of nutritious meals, personal contact and related services. “Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and Maryland Food Truck Week is the perfect partnership of meals and wheels.” Said Stephanie Archer-Smith, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc. She added “At Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland we bring good food, and the pleasure of the social interaction that surrounds food, to people where they are. Food truck operators bring carefully crafted food to people where they are, and Maryland Food Truck Week provides the social experience that we all associate with food. Maryland Food Truck Week is not only an opportunity to socialize around food, but it also offers an opportunity for people to experience creative cuisine or ethnic food at an affordable price. We are grateful for the partnership and want to thank all those who will participate. It’s not just a great time, it’s for a good cause!”
