Disney+ Details Revealed

  • Disney announced yesterday they are launching their streaming service for $6.99/month or $69.99/year (which comes out to about $5.83/month) and it will launch November 12th
  • It’ll launch with 7,500 episodes of current and off-air TV shows; 25 original series and 10 original movies and specials; 400 library movie titles; and 100 recent theatrical films release plus access to all 30 seasons of The Simpsons
  • Some of their original content will include a few Marvel centered TV series including one about Loki & another about Falcoln & The Winter Soldier, a live action Lady & The Tramp, 2 Star Wars series & more
  • One thing that immediately sets this service apart is that users will be able to download all of their TV shows and movies, and watch them even when they don't have internet access
  • Disney also said during the presentation they will likely bundle Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu “for a discounted price to offer more value for consumers” but didn’t offer any further details

Hurt Gymnast Fires Back At All Of Us

  • Auburn gymnast Samantha Cerio who suffered that gruesome injury we’ve all seen circulating around the internet is asking everyone to stop
  • She dislocated both her knees and broke both her legs in the horrific injury and took to Twitter to say it was bad enough experiencing it in real life, but please stop tagging her in videos and pictures online, she says “my pain is not your entertainment”
  • She had surgery on Monday and according to her coach it was an extreme success

 

Jeopardy Record Breaker Credits Children’s Books

  • Earlier this week James Holzhauer broke the record for a single day winnings pulling in $110,914
  • The 34 year old is a professional sports gambler in Vegas but credits children’s books to his success on the show
  • He says the children’s books are chock-full of infographics, pictures and all kinds of stuff to keep the reader engaged—he can’t make it through 1 chapter of a Dickens novel without falling asleep

  • The City of Chicago has sued Jussie Smollett for $130-thousand bucks
  • That’s the cost of the police overtime to investigate his alleged hate crime
  • The state’s attorney office has at this time dismissed all criminal charges against him
  • Smollett however seems unphased by this news, he's currently vacationing in Hawaii
