#The411: The Super Bowl Halftime Show...Happened

The Super Bowl Halftime Show Happened

  • The consensus is the Super Bowl halftime show was pretty boring and just laid flat
  • It featured Maroon 5 as the headliner, rapper Travis Scott and Atlanta native Big Boi
  • No surprise guests or collaborations happened, it was fairly straight forward
  • As for Maroon 5's "political message" Adam Levine teased in an interview, at one point the audience released lanterns into the air that spelled out "One Love"
  • As for that SpongeBob SquarePants cameo,  it was there  because fans started a Change.org asking that the show's song "Sweet Victory" be played to honor series creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died in November from ALS—for the record fans were unhappy it was so short
  • Fans were also upset Adam Levine was allowed to go shirtless while Janet Jackson was not
