  • Aquaman won the box-office crown for a 3rd straight weekend with $30.7 million
  • The superhero flick has earned $940.7 million globally, making it the highest worldwide release in the DC Extended Universe
  • Aquaman has officially broken into the top 50 grossing films of all time at #46
  • Speaking of movies, Danny Devito has been tapped to join the sequel to Jumanji alongside The Rock, Jack Black & Kevin Hart

Golden Globes Recap!

  • Andy Samberg & Sandra Oh hosted, keeping the mood light & upbeat—they’re routine was cheesy but funny cheesy giving the audience "flu shots" and promising to continue the long tradition of roasting the crowd and then proceeded to just compliment everyone 
  • Jeff Bridges accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award with a strange speech referencing ocean liners
  • Carol Burnett was the first recipient of the ceremony’s lifetime achievement in television, which was named in her honor
  • Lady Gaga was 'tre dramatique' and sobbed when her song "Shallow," took the award in the Best Original Song category
  • Maya Rudolph faked a proposal to Amy Poehler, with whom she presented the adapted screenplay award.


  • FX’s The Americans and Netflix’s The Kominsky Method won the top awards
  • The acting honors went to Sandra Oh (Killing Eve)—making her the first Asian woman to win Best Actress in a TV drama in almost 40 years—she thanked her parents in Korean
  • Michael Douglas (The Kominsky Method), Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects) and Ben Whishaw (A Very English Scandal)
  • Patricia Arquette dropped an F-Bomb while accepting the honor as Best Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for her role Showtime's "Escape at Dannemora." While thanking everyone - Arquette referred to the makeup for her role and joked, "How many fucked-up teeth does one person need?" The she laughed, "I mean, I was born with fucked up teeth!" She later apologized.

  • Bohemian Rhapsody came away with two huge wins-- The Queen bio-pic was named Best Motion Picture – Drama and star Rami Malek took Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for playing Freddie Mercury.
  • The night's other big winner, Green Book, walked away with three trophies -- Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Screenplay and Best Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Mahershala Ali.
  • In the other acting categories, Glenn Close won Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for The Wife, Olivia Colman won Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Favourite, and Christian Bale won Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Vice.
  • While accepting his Best Actor award for his role as Dick Cheney in "Vice," Christian Bale thanked "Satan." 
  • Glenn Close’s emotional speech about how women should be allowed to find personal fulfillment was good enough to get the crowd to their feet

Baltimore Uber Driver Trashes LA Chargers To LA Chargers' Melvin Gordon

  • Prior to the playoff game against the LA Chargers yesterday, LA Chargers running back Melvin Gordon posted a video online of his Uber driver here in Baltimore trashing the Ravens' opponent
  • You can hear the Uber driver in the video talking about how the Charger's quarterback Phillip Rivers really isn't that good and then Gordon asks about himself....
