Netflix Is Advising Against The "Bird Box Challenge"

Welcome to 2019, where people think it's a good idea to blindfold themselves and then try and do stuff. I am here to tell you it's not, and so is Netflix.

So here's the deal if you haven't been on the internet in the last 2 weeks-- Netflix released a new film, Bird Box, about a woman played by Sandra Bullock, and her 2 children who have to navigate a post apocalyptic world while blindfolded to avoid an invisible threat that causes suicide and destruction. In it's first week the film was viewed over 45 million times.

The film has inspired the Bird Box Challenge where people are trying to navigate through life blindfolded, as seen in the film. Numerous videos have been uploaded online which show people trying the Bird Box Challenge and almost always resulting in some sort of injury.

In the video below, a toddler can be seen crashing into a wall while blindfolded as the adult he's with is trying to imitate the movie.

There are hundreds of videos like the one above, but the latest viral craze can obviously end in injury and just isn't a good idea so please, don't be dumb and stay safe!
