My Top 5 Binge Worthy TV Shows Of 2018

5. The Kominsky Method

I started watching this on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It's so funny, but not in a typical way, and Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are perfect. As I watched it I foudn myself thinking about those later in life years, something that isn't always presented in mainstream television. Check out the quick synopsis:

He may be in his twilight years, but aging acting coach Sandy Kominsky isn't ready to ride off into the sunset just yet. The once-famous Kominsky and his longtime agent, Norman Newlander, keep each other laughing as they tackle the curveballs that life throws at them while navigating their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty. The Netflix original sitcom has a strong Hollywood pedigree; it was created by multiple Emmy winner Chuck Lorre and stars Oscar winners Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin as Kominsky and Newlander, respectively.

4. The Ranch

Ashton Kutcher's brain child The Ranch premiered on Netflix back in 2016 but it's so freaking good I binge it every time a new season comes out! It originally starred Kutcher and Danny Masterson, Hyde from That 70's Show, but he was fired after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced, which is where we find the show right now. The most recent batch of episodes just came out earlier this month and they deal with Masterson's exit and much more. Check out the quick synopsis:

Ashton Kutcher stars in this Netflix-original sitcom as Colt, who returns home to his family's ranch in Colorado after his semi-pro football career ends in failure. Colt plans to run the ranching business with his father, Beau (Sam Elliott), whom he hasn't seen in 15 years at the time of his homecoming. In addition to proving himself to his father and navigating family dynamics, Colt is torn between his current girlfriend and his high school sweetheart, Abby (Elisha Cuthbert), when she expresses doubts about her fiance.

3. Evil Genius

This show is SO crazy! The best part is it's only a 4 part series, 45 minutes a piece, so there goes your afternoon. I literally couldn't tear myself away from it and you go through alllllllll of the emotions. Check out the quick synopsis:

In August 2003, an attempted bank robbery in Erie, Pa., made news headlines across America when the robbery-gone-wrong turned into a public murder. The attempted robber was a pizza delivery driver who had a bomb locked around his neck. Known as the "pizza bomber" case, a manhunt ensued to find out who was responsible for the crime. Authorities eventually arrested Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong for the delivery man's death. She was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but this four-part Netflix original documentary series sets out to prove that there's more to the conspiracy and murder than what was previously thought.

2. Big Mouth

Talk about the silent show this year. Everyone I know is watching this show. It's from Nick Kroll and John Mulaney and it's chalk full of raunchy, inappropriate humor that every single person can relate to. It's about the ups and downs of puberty and it's pure brilliance. Oh, the cast is STACKED by the way. Season 3 is in the works right now! Check out the quick synopsis:

Even for a cartoon character, going through puberty isn't easy for a young person. Andrew is learning that first hand as he experiences the nightmare that is growing up in this animated series geared toward adults. Along for the ride are friends Nick and Jessi, who develop a budding romance along the way. The comedy veterans who lend their voices to "Big Mouth" include John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph and Jordan Peele.

1. The Great British Baking Show

This is my obsession! It has 5 or 6 seasons on Netflix so it's perfect to binge watch! It's the nicest reality competition I have ever seen. And it reinvigorated my love of baking! I fall in love with the competitors every season and the judges and hosts, it's really the perfect show. Check out the quick synopsis:

Twelve amateur bakers compete against each other to win the title of Greatest British Baker in the successful series `The Great British Bake Off'. Each round sees an aspirant baker eliminated, until finally the winner gets selected from the leftover contestants. Their skills on cakes, breads, pastries and desserts are tested each round, and the difficulty increases as the competition unfolds. The judges are set to taste all the goods created carefully by the contestants, and the audience is able to follow all the trials and tribulations with a wholesome twist.
