Rejoice! The McRib has returned! Did you know it's been around since 1981?
But has anyone ever taken the time to actually look into the McRib?
It's described as a Pork Patty “slathered in tangy barbecue sauce and topped with slivered onions and tart pickles, on a hoagie style bun.” And pork is the main ingredient, but when you start scanning the list, onions are pretty much the most nutritious thing on there.
It has 480 calories, with 45 grams of carbs and a lot of sodium, at 890 milligrams.
For comparison, the Big Mac has 540 calories and 46 grams of carbs, so the McRib isn't insane, but definitely not on the diet plan!
