Dunkin Donuts Name Change

  • Starting in January, Dunkin’ Donuts will drop the “Donuts” from ads, packages and signage at new and remodeled stores, as well as its social media accounts
  • This all in effort to relabel themselves as a beverage led company and a to go food service which includes, but isn’t limited to doughnuts
  • A store was opened in Massachusetts with the new name & also included digital kiosks, an expanded Grab & Go section and a drive-thru that let customers cut the line if they ordered ahead on the app
  • Dunkin is planning a 1000 store expansion by 2020

Bill Cosby Sentenced

  • Bill Cosby was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison yesterday for drugging & sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004
  • He was denied bail & carted straight off to the big house;  the judge saying he had no right to bail, adding, “This was a serious crime. The day has come, the time has come.”
  • The judge also ruled Cosby is a sexually violent predator which means he’ll have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life
  • His publicist claimed this was the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States
  • His wife Camille is standing by him saying her husband was denied his right to a fair trial and convicted on falsified evidence, and apparently his lawyers are already working on the next steps

Controversy Over Bill Cosby’s Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

  • TMZ reached out to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce about Bill Cosby’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to which they said once a star is installed, it’s a 'designated historic cultural landmark,' and are intended to be permanent. The stars only commemorate the recipient’s professional accomplishments."
  • They wen ton to say the Chamber doesn’t remove stars, despite the regrettable actions of the star’s personal lives
  • Cosby's star was recently vandalized with the words, "Serial Rapist," but the graffiti was quickly removed
