Bishop Who Officiated Aretha Franklin’s Funeral Apologizes to Ariana Grande

  • Bishop Charles H. Ellis III led Franklin’s funeral on Friday and awkwardly greeted Grande on stage after she performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”
  • He awkwardly held Grande well above her waist with his hand pressed against one side of her chest
  • Ellis said that while “it would never be my intention to touch anyone’s breast,” perhaps he “crossed a border” and went on to say he did not want to be a distraction on a day that belonged to Franklin.
  • Ellis also apologized to Grande, her fans and Hispanic community for making a joke about seeing her name on the program and thinking it was a new item on the Taco Bell menu.

Bono Lost Voice On Stage

  • Fear not, Bono has not lost his voice permanently
  • U2 had to cut short a tour stop in Berlin over the weekend when out of nowhere, Bono lost his voice onstage
  • He promised the crowd he hadn’t been smoking, but did hint that all the smoke from the smoke machines on stage was affecting him, saying it was like a giant cigar onstage
  • Bono did offer an update the next day via U2’s website saying eh saw a great doctor & under his care he’ll be back to full voice for the rest of his tour
